EDU 330

Throughout this course, my peers and I learned about the effective methods to implement within a classroom. The course covered Trauma Informed practices to building and maintaining supportive relationship with students. We created a term-long project that was call, “My Classroom Management Plan”. It was here that we were able to combine all of the knowledge that we had gained from the semester and digest it into our own practice.

“This course addresses the theories and methods associated with the learning process, as well as the application of this knowledge in a variety of classroom environments and situations. Pre-service teachers will learn how to create a proactive classroom environment that will allow them to spend contact time in instructional activities resulting in increased student learning. Pre-service teachers also develop knowledge and understanding of requisite strategies for effectively managing student behavior in the classroom. Field-study required.” -(UNE)

Below you will see the work that I have selected. This project was one that I felt like represented the overall learning objectives and outcomes for the course. I did not include the term-long project because it was not in the best format for sharing, however this project was another piece of work that I felt displayed similar abilities. We had to work in partners to complete some extensive research and develop a project and plan about this condition – in this case, it was OCD. Furthermore, we had to talk about and craft ideas about how we would address and make accommodations for students with OCD in our classroom. This tied in well to our teaching philosophies that we developed at throughout the course.
